This article demonstrates how to install and authorize the Relab LX480 plug-in license included with your purchase of a Volt interface.
- Install UA Connect and register your Volt interface, if you have not already done so. More information on this topic is available in this article.
- Click the Volt Interfaces tab.
- Click Redeem next to the Relab LX480 Essentials plug-in entry.
- Relab Development licenses use iLok License Manager, so an iLok account is required. If an account linked to your UA account is found, you’ll have to option to link it or specify a different iLok ID. If you have no iLok account, click Create iLok Account.
- Click the Claim Your Code button to copy the license code to your clipboard.
- Click the Continue button to access the Relab Development website. The LX480 Essentials license is directly added to your cart and discounted to $0.
- If you don’t have a Relab Development account, enter your email address and click the Next Step button. If you already have an account, you can log into it.
- Next, you will be prompted to enter your iLok account information.
- Click the Review Order button. You will be taken back to the cart page.
- Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and click Place Order.
- Once your order is complete, go back to RelabDevelopment.com then click My Relab Account at the top.
- Click on Downloads and download the installer for your operating system.
- Locate the installer in your Downloads folder.
On macOS, double-click the downloaded zipped file, then double-click the installer.
On Windows, right-click the downloaded zipped file and select Extract All, then double-click the executable inside the newly created folder to start the installation process. - Open your DAW and load the plug-in(s) you installed onto a MIDI track. If you did not have iLok License Manager installed on your computer, a prompt will open saying License Support Components Required – click OK to start the installation of iLok License Manager.
- When the installation is complete, you will be prompted to activate the license.
- Click the Skip button and log into your iLok account.
- Select the LX480 licenses, and click Next.
- Select your computer and click Next.
- Finally, click Continue to close the window. Your LX480 license is now ready to be used.
