Using UAD Spark Plug-In Licenses Offline

UA Connect relies on PACE’s iLok copy protection, giving you direct access to UA software updates and plug-in authorizations after any purchase. Permanent licenses can now be authorized to a local host (i.e. your computer) or an iLok USB, while UAD Spark users can authorize their licenses to the iLok Cloud or an iLok USB.

However, the iLok Cloud method available to UAD Spark users requires a reliable internet connection. If you don’t always have reliable internet or if you’re traveling, authorizing licenses to a PACE iLok USB is the solution because it does not require an internet connection after licenses are authorized.

The iLok USB method applies to users with a UAD Spark subscription or users with perpetual native UAD plug-in licenses.

If you wish to move your license(s) onto an iLok USB key, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Launch iLok License Manager and sign in using your iLok account credentials.
Note: iLok License Manager was automatically installed when UA Connect was installed. If for some reason it is not installed, you can download it directly from the PACE website.

Important Note: If PACE services are suffering from an outage, make sure to turn your Wi-Fi off in order to use your licenses authorized to an iLok USB.
