What is Hemisphere and what do I get with it?

Hemisphere Mic Collection is a plug-in used in tandem with Standard Series microphones (SC-1, SP-1, SD-1, SD-3, SD-5, SD-7), giving users access to an entire collection of legendary microphones from Neumann, Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, and more.*

How do I get Hemisphere?

Hemisphere Mic Collection is a free plug-in and requires a UA account and UA Connect for authorization and download. The iLok License Manager is also required for the native UADx version.

The plug-in is available after registering at least one UA Standard Series microphone via UA Connect.

How can I use the Hemisphere plug-in in my DAW?

Hemisphere Mic Collection is available as a native UADx plug-in, and also as a UAD-2 DSP plug-in for use in your DAW. The UAD-2 version requires Apollo or Satellite hardware.

You can use the UAD-2 plug-in in the Apollo Console application with Apollo Hardware, and also with LUNA Accelerated Realtime Monitoring for a latency-free real-time monitoring experience.

How many Hemisphere licenses do I get after registering a Standard Series microphone?

You’ll receive one native Hemisphere license for each Standard Series microphone you register, as well as a UAD-2 license.

How many activations of UADx Hemisphere do I get?

You’ll receive three activations with each native Hemisphere license in your account.

Where are my iLok licenses located?

Native Hemisphere iLok licenses can be stored locally on your computer (machine-based) or on a standard iLok USB, using the iLok License Manager.

I bought a used Standard Series microphone and when I registered it, I did not receive Hemisphere. What should I do?

The Hemisphere Mic Collection plug-in is available with brand new Standard Series microphones after they are registered by the original owner. If you've purchased a second-hand Standard Series microphone, please contact the Customer Care team here.

How can I use Hemisphere?

How should I configure my SD-1 for use with Hemisphere?

Set the hi-pass and emphasis switches to flat for the most accurate response from the Hemisphere plug-in.
