How do I start a trial of LUNA Studio or a LUNA Extension?
You can trial LUNA Extensions by trialing LUNA Studio. To start a trial of LUNA Studio, follow the steps below:
- Sign up to get the UAD Explore FREE bundle on this page.
- Download UAD Explore FREE on the dedicated UAD Explore FREE page in UA Connect.
- Click "Start Demo" next to the LUNA Studio tile on the LUNA page in UA Connect.
What does the trial include?
Starting a trial gives you access to the LUNA Studio or UAD Spark Studio experience itself, including bundled LUNA extensions, and LUNA Studio features such as lyric transcription and chord extraction. Third-party products are the only category excluded.
Does the trial include the third-party software bundled with LUNA Studio or Spark Studio?
No. Third-party software is not available during a trial — it is included only with a paid LUNA Studio or UAD Spark Studio purchase. This applies to all bundled third-party titles, not just specific ones.
Do the LUNA Studio and UAD Spark Studio trials work the same way?
Yes. Both trials follow identical rules for what is and isn't included, including third-party software.
I've trialed LUNA (or Spark) before. What can I still try?
Products can only be trialed once. If you've previously run any LUNA trial — including a LUNA Pro trial — that prior trial blocks you from starting new trials of the bundled plug-ins. However, new LUNA Studio features are still available to trial, since you haven't tried those before. In short: you can't trial the same product twice, but any product or feature that's new to you is available.
Does starting a LUNA Studio trial also start my Topline Vocal Tune trial?
No. Topline Vocal Tune is a separate plug-in trial and must be started on its own. Clicking "Start Demo" in LUNA Studio does not begin a Topline Vocal Tune trial. If you haven't trialed Topline Vocal Tune before, you can still start it independently at any time.
How do I try the Audio to MIDI feature?
Audio to MIDI requires Celemony Melodyne to be installed and activated on your system. Any active Melodyne license works — Melodyne essential or a full version, whether it's a Celemony trial license or a purchased one. The license does not need to come from Universal Audio.
