LUNA includes a 14-day fully functional trial evaluation period for individual UAD Instruments and LUNA Extensions that are not already licensed by the registered owner.
Starting a demo period in LUNA will depend on which mode that your iLok account is in. In most cases, your iLok account will be in Automatic Mode. See instructions below on how to activate a demo in LUNA. For more information on managing iLok modes, click here.

Activating a Demo in Automatic Mode

On the LUNA sidebar, click the Discover tab to view available products. Click on the Demo button. This will make the product available on the Manage panel.
- On the LUNA sidebar, click the Manage tab to open UA Connect, then click Activate License next to the UAD Instrument or LUNA Extension to activate the demo period. The product demo should be ready for use.
Manually Activating a Demo in iLok License Manager

On the LUNA sidebar, click on the Discover panel to view available products. Click on the Demo button. This will add a demo license to your iLok account.
- Quit LUNA. Open a macOS Finder window, navigate to the Applications folder, and launch iLok License Manager.
- Sign into your iLok account. Select your account as highlighted below. Ctrl-click on the LUNA product and select Activate.
- Open LUNA. On the LUNA sidebar, click the Manage tab to open UA Connect, then click Activate License next to the UAD Instrument or LUNA Extension to activate the demo period. The product demo should be ready for use.
