In the event that you've mistakenly linked your iLok ID to the wrong UA account, it is possible to unlink it with some maneuvering.
Note: If your UA account is correct, but you linked the wrong iLok account to it, read this article instead.
The steps below will guide you through this process:
- First, check that you are not logged into the wrong UA account. If you've created a new account, it's possible that you already had a UA account that contains all of your products and simply did not remember about it. Your iLok could be connected to that already existing UA account. If that is not the case, proceed with the next steps below.
- Launch iLok License Manager and log into the iLok account you want to use.
- Navigate to the All Licenses tab, look for your Universal Audio licenses, and Deactivate them by right-clicking on the licenses. You will need to deactivate the licenses so that the iLok account can be unlinked from the UA account.
- Once that is done, you will need to log into the UA account associated to the same iLok account you just deactivated the licenses from, and navigate to the My Account > Profile section.
- Click the Edit iLok button.
- If all of the license have properly been deactivated as described previously, clicking the Disconnect iLok will unlink the iLok account from the UA account.
- Now, log out of the UA account you were logged into, and log into the correct UA account.
- Navigate once again in the My Account > Profile section and enter the desired iLok User ID.
