USB Safeguard is a setting within Console that can be useful for alleviating issues such as pops, clicks, or beeps in audio playback on your Apollo Twin USB. If you are experiencing these kinds of issues then enabling USB Safeguard on your system may help.

If you’ve fully optimized your system but are still experiencing artifacts in audio playback, then enabling USB Safeguard may improve audio performance on your system.
To locate the USB Safeguard setting:
- Open Console
- Click on Settings (bottom left)
- Open the Hardware tab

Important: Stop WDM and ASIO playback before changing the USB Safeguard setting. Applications using audio may need to be relaunched after the setting is changed.
Note: Enabling USB Safeguard will add a small amount of latency to playback (Console input monitoring is not affected).
