Hiding Plug-Ins in Logic Pro

Logic Pro features a Plug-in Manager panel that allows you to hide individual plug-ins from your available plug-ins list. Follow the directions below to hide any AU plug-ins (UAD or otherwise) from Logic Pro:

  1. Click the Logic Pro button on the upper left corner of your screen.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Plug-in Manager….
Note: In older Logic Pro versions, the Settings menu option is called Preferences

  3. Uncheck the Use box next to an individual plug-in to hide that plug-in from the lists within Logic Pro X.

To remove the plug-ins from the individual Effects type in the Plug-In Insert, follow the steps below:

  1. In this example, we want to remove the UAD plug-ins from the Pitch effects category, as shown below:

  3. In the Plug-in Manager, navigate to the Pitch category, then select the first UAD plug-in. If you want to remove more than one plug-in, press Shift + Click on the last plug-in you want to remove from the category, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Note: This will only remove the plug-ins from the Category they are placed in – the plug-ins can still be loaded via the Audio Units > Universal Audio menu option.
