FAQ: UAD Signature 3

This article lists all frequently asked questions regarding the Signature 3 bundle and upgrading to Signature 3.

What's included with the Signature 3 bundle?

The Signature 3 bundle includes over 63 UA-developed plug-in titles, all of which are available on the UAD Native platform and do not require UAD-2 hardware to operate. The complete list of plug-ins included in the Signature 3 bundle is listed on the product page.

What's new in Signature 3?

The following seven (7) plug-ins are added to the list of plug-ins included with Signature 3:

I already own a previous Signature bundle. Do I get a discount?

Yes! If you previously purchased Signature 1 or 2, you will be eligible for a special upgrade price. To see your upgrade price, click the upgrade tab on the Signature 3 product page and add Signature 3 to your cart.

I own some of the plug-ins in Signature 3. Do I get a discount?

No – unless you already own Signature 1 or 2, you will not get a discount for owning some of the plug-ins in Signature 3.

If you are only missing a few plug-ins from Signature 3, it may be more advantageous to purchase a Custom bundle. Custom bundles not only give access to the newest releases included in Signature 3, but also other plug-ins not necessarily included in the Signature 3 bundle.

Are all the plug-ins in Signature 3 included in Spark?

Since all of the plug-ins in Signature 3 are available on the UAD Native platform, most are indeed available when subscribing to UAD Spark as well, with the exception of UA 1176 Classic FET Compressor and Teletronix® LA-2A Tube Compressor, which are only available as perpetual licenses.

Plug-ins included with UAD Spark are activated on the iLok Cloud Session or an iLok USB. For more information about which plug-ins are available with UAD Spark at all times, read this article.

I own Apollo, Satellite, or UAD-2 hardware. Is this for me?

Yes, absolutely! All of the plug-ins included in Signature 3 include both UAD Native and UAD DSP versions, as long as a UAD DSP counterpart is available.

Note: Only UAD DSP plug-ins can be used in UAD Console.

If I already own some of the plug-ins in these bundles, can I substitute other plug-ins instead?

No, our bundles are pre-configured, and we do not offer the option to substitute plug-ins.

Will new titles be added to my bundles, like UAD Spark?

No, our bundles are pre-configured, and when you purchase a bundle, you’ll own these plug-ins forever.

Can I try UAD Native plug-ins before I buy?

Yes – if you have never initiated a demo before, 14-day plug-in demos are available on the individual product pages.
