The Volt series of audio interfaces are class-compliant “plug and play” devices, which means that Volt interfaces can be used immediately without needing to install additional software or drivers. On macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, the class-compliant drivers built into the operating system also provide full functionality when using Volt with DAW recording applications, however for full DAW compatibility on Windows, an additional ASIO driver is required which is available for download via the UA Connect application.
In addition to providing the ASIO driver download for Windows, the UA Connect app also allows you to register Volt, redeem the included bundle of software, and install any updates that are available for your Volt interface.
To install the UA Connect app and access these features, your system must meet the following requirements:
UA Connect Mac & PC System Requirements
- Intel, AMD, or Apple Silicon processor
- (PC) Windows 10 64-bit edition
- (macOS) 10.15 Catalina or newer
- Internet connection for software downloads
If your system does not meet these requirements, you can still use Volt as a class-compliant device without the UA Connect app, however you will not be able to access the Windows ASIO driver, included software, or any Volt updates.
