UA Connect with UA Microphones

Use UA Connect to manage your UA microphones. If UA Connect is not yet installed, download and install the app here. For full installation instructions, see Getting Started with UA Connect.

Sphere microphones – You’ll use UA Connect to manage native versions of your Sphere plug-ins. To get the Apollo Realtime and UAD Accelerator plug-ins for Sphere, download the UAD Software here. 

UA Standard Series – You’ll use UA Connect to register your SC-1, SD-1, or SP-1 and to get the Hemisphere Mic Collection plug-in. 

UA Bock Series – Use UA Connect to register your UA Bock 167, 187, or 251. After you register you will receive an email to download your Apollo Channel Strip Presets.

Registering your microphone

To register your microphone

1. Open UA Connect and log in.
2. At the bottom of the UA Connect screen, click Add Hardware. 
3. In the serial number field, type the serial number from the label on your microphone’s Quick Start Guide, then click Enter. The serial number can also be found on the microphone itself.
   
4. Your microphone appears. Click the Register button to register your microphone.
   
5. Your microphone is registered.

Installing Native Sphere plug-ins

• After you register your Sphere microphone, links appear to get your Sphere software.
  
• To download and install the native Sphere plug-ins, click the Download button in the Sphere Mic Collection and Sphere Mic Collection 180 tiles (if you own a Sphere DLX or Sphere L22). UA Connect performs the installation for the native Sphere plug-ins. (If the native Sphere plug-ins are already installed, but a newer version is available, the button displays Update.) 

Installing UAD Sphere plug-ins

UAD Sphere plug-ins are contained within UAD software. To download and install UAD software, click the Get button in the Sphere Mic Collection - UAD tile to visit the UAD software downloads page. For UAD software installation instructions, visit the UAD getting started articles.

Installing the Native Hemisphere plug-in

1. After you register your UA Standard Series microphone, click Microphones in the left column, then click your microphone's tile. The Hemisphere Mic Collection tile appears below the mic. 
2. Click the Activate License button. UA Connect activates the license.
3. Click Download to download and install the native Hemisphere plug-in. 
4. If the native Hemisphere plug-in is already installed, but a newer version is available, the Update button appears. Click to update the plug-in. 

Installing the UAD Hemisphere plug-in

The UAD Hemisphere plug-in is contained within UAD software. To download and install UAD software:

1. In UA Connect, click Microphones in the left column.
2. Click the tile for your UA Standard Series mic.
3. Click the Get button next to Hemisphere Mic Collection - UAD to visit the UAD software downloads page.

Installing Apollo channel strip presets

Apollo channel strip presets can be downloaded and automatically installed for your UA Bock Series microphone, or for your UA Standard Series SD-1 or SP-1.

1. In UA Connect, click Microphones in the left column.
2. Click the tile for your UA Bock Series, UA Standard Series SD-1, or UA Standard Series SP-1 mic.
3. Next to Apollo channel strip presets (in the Additional Downloads section), click Install to download and install the Apollo channel strip presets for your mic.
