This article addresses troubleshooting steps when the UAD-2 Software installation fails in UA Connect and the following error message appears on macOS:
UAD_XX_X_X_XXXXXX.pkg can't be installed because its digital signature is not trusted
To solve this issue, or any other issues with the UAD-2 installer available in UA Connect, follow the steps below depending on the operating system you are using:
macOS
- First, restart your computer and initiate the UAD Software download in UA Connect once again.
- If the issue persists, quit UA Connect, open a new Finder window, and click Go in the top menu bar.
- Select Go To Folder….
- Copy and paste the following folder path into the field:
~/Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/workspace/temp/ua_cloud_helper/stage - Delete the partly downloaded installer inside the stage folder, which should be named something like UAD_XX_X_X_XXXXXX.pkg, where X are digits from 0 to 9.
- Restart UA Connect.
- Navigate to the UAD-2 & Apollo tab to reinitiate the UAD Software installer download.
Windows
- First, restart your computer and initiate the UAD Software installer download in UA Connect once again.
- If the issue persists, quit UA Connect, and click on the Windows Start button on the bottom left of your screen.
- Type %localappdata% and click on the option which appears.
- From the AppData folder, navigate to:
\Local\Universal Audio\workspace\temp\ua_cloud_helper/stage - Delete the partly downloaded installer inside the stage folder, which should be named something like UAD_XX_X_X_XXXXXX.pkg, where X are digits from 0 to 9.
- Restart UA Connect.
- Navigate to the UAD-2 & Apollo tab to reinitiate the UAD Software installer download.
