This article addresses troubleshooting steps when the UAD Software installation fails in UA Connect and the following error message appears on macOS:
UAD_XX_X_X_XXXXXX.pkg can't be installed because its digital signature is not trusted
A similar issue can also occur on Windows. To solve this issue, or any other issues with the UAD installer available in UA Connect, follow the steps below depending on the operating system you are using:
macOS
- First, restart your computer and initiate the UAD Software download in UA Connect once again.
- If the issue persists, quit UA Connect, open a new Finder window, and click Go in the top menu bar.
- Select Go To Folder….
- Copy and paste the following folder path into the field:
~/Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/workspace/temp/ua_cloud_helper/stage - Delete the partly downloaded installer inside the stage folder, which should be named something like UAD_XX_X_X_XXXXXX.pkg, where X are digits from 0 to 9.
- Restart UA Connect.
- Navigate to the UAD-2 & Apollo tab to reinitiate the UAD Software installer download.
Windows
If the installer shows any error on Windows, follow these steps:
- First, restart your computer and initiate the UAD Software installer download in UA Connect once again.
- If the issue persists, quit UA Connect, and click on the Windows Start button on the bottom left of your screen.
- Type %localappdata% and click on the option which appears.
- From the AppData folder, navigate to:
\Local\Universal Audio\workspace\temp\ua_cloud_helper\stage - Delete the partly downloaded installer inside the stage folder, which should be named something like UAD_XX_X_X_XXXXXX.pkg, where X are digits from 0 to 9.
- Restart UA Connect.
- Navigate to the Apollo & UAD-2 tab to reinitiate the UAD Software installer download.
