Why is the "Speaker Volume" knob on my OX controlling the level of the headphone, line, and/or digital outputs?

Q: Why is the SPEAKER VOLUME knob on my OX controlling the level of the headphone, line, and/or digital outputs?

Q: Why is my guitar speaker volume low, even when the SPEAKER VOLUME knob is at maximum?

A: These symptoms occur when OX's amp and cabinet connections are wired incorrectly. If you have any of these issues, OX's TO SPEAKER and FROM AMPLIFIER connections are probably reversed.

To correct these symptoms:

  1. Connect the amp output to OX's red FROM AMPLIFIER input jack.
DO NOT connect the amp output to OX's TO SPEAKER jack!

  2. Connect OX's black TO SPEAKER output jack to the speaker cabinet.
DO NOT connect OX's TO SPEAKER jack to the amp!

For wiring examples, see the amp & speaker connection diagrams in this article

When OX is properly connected to your amp, control of the headphone, line, and digital output levels are completely independent of the SPEAKER VOLUME knob setting.
