Manually Run the UA Connect Helper Tool
First, quit all music-related software and reboot your computer. Then, follow the steps in this article.
Check for Blocking Third-Party Applications
Installations issues are commonly caused by file management, anti-virus, or system cleaner applications. Check that none of the applications listed in this article are installed. If any are present on your computer, we strongly recommend fully uninstalling them, then re-installing UA Connect as per the next steps.
Reinstall UA Connect
Reinstalling UA Connect can often resolve product and driver installation issues.
Run UA Connect as Administrator
Right-click UA Connect and select Run as administrator.

Alternatively, you can also enable this option permanently:
- On Windows 10, navigate to: C:\Program Files\UA Connect
- Right-click UA Connect and go to Properties > Compatibility.
- Enable Run this program as administrator, and fully quit then relaunch UA Connect.
On Windows 11 Pro only:
- Open Computer Management.
- In the left panel, navigate to: System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Users.
- Find Administrator > right click Properties > uncheck Account is disabled.
- Log out and sign into Windows using Administrator account.

Re-install UA Connect and retry the Volt driver download.
For Windows 11 Home edition users, you can create new Administrator user account using the instructions on this page.
