Uninstall UA Connect & Delete Preference Files

Below are step-by-step instructions on how to properly uninstall UA Connect from your Windows 10 system.
Note: Make sure to manually remove the UA Connect preference files as described below before reinstalling UA Connect.
Uninstall UA Connect
- Close UA Connect and all other music software.
- Press the [Windows] key.
- Type Apps & features.
- Hit [Enter].
- In Apps & features, find and click UA Connect.
- Click on Uninstall option.
- Confirm by clicking Uninstall again.
- Click OK.
Remove UA Connect Preference Files
Preference files for the UA Connect app are located in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local, which is hidden by default. To navigate directly to this folder, follow these steps:
- Press the [Windows] key.
- Type %localappdata%.
- Hit [Enter].
- Open the Universal Audio folder.
- Delete the UA Connect folder found inside.
Reinstall UA Connect
Once the steps above are done, download and install the latest version of UA Connect found here.

- In Apps > Installed apps, find UA Connect in the list of applications.
- Click the ••• icon next to UA Connect.
- Click on the Uninstall option.
- Confirm by clicking Uninstall again
- Click OK.

Remove UADx Plug-Ins (optional)
If you intend to re-install UA Connect, it is not necessary to remove UAD Native plug-in files; however, if you wish to remove all UAD Native plug-ins from your system then you may delete them by following the steps in this article.
