The article below lists the system requirements for the UAD-2 Live Rack.
- Apple Mac computer with available Thunderbolt 3 port
- macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra
- Thunderbolt 3 cable for each UAD-2 Live Rack unit
- (2) single MADI Optical SC cables or (1) Duplex MADI Optical SC cable for each UAD-2 Live Rack unit
- MADI optical SC signal source & return (e.g., digital mixing console)
- Internet connection to download software and authorize UAD plug-ins
- 6 gigabytes available storage
Note: We highly recommend having at least 100 GB of free storage on your internal hard drive.
Notes:
- The latest software release for UAD-2 Live Rack and Realtime Rack is UAD v9.4.2b. UAD v9.4.2b is compatible with macOS 10.13 High Sierra.
- Cables and adapters are not included.
- Thunderbolt 1 or 2 Mac can be used with appropriate adapters and cables.
- Multi-unit setups cannot use duplex (paired) MADI cables.
- UAD-2 Live Rack is compatible with the MADI standard protocol (AES10) via optical SC connections. Although coaxial MADI cannot be connected directly,
UAD-2 Live Rack is expected to operate with any digital audio device with MADI optical I/O using proper converters, cabling and/or adapters (such as the optical I/O of a MADI coaxial converter).
