How to Redeem and Install Software Included with Volt

This article shows how to use UA Connect to download, install, and authorize the bundle of software included with all Volt interfaces.

All Volt interfaces come with the following software:

  • The UAD Explore FREE bundle featuring 8 UAD Native plug-ins
  • A collection of third-party software titles from UA partners
  • LUNA Digital Audio Workstation

Register your Volt

To claim your bundled software, you will first need to register your Volt interface using UA Connect. Follow the steps below to do so:

  1. Connect your Volt interface, then download and install UA Connect.
  2. Log in to your UA account or create one if you don't already have one.
  3. Click "REGISTER OTHER HARDWARE" and then click "VOLT" on the next screen. 
  4. Make sure your Volt is turned on, and on the screen that pops up, click the "REGISTER" button.

Claim UAD Explore FREE & LUNA Digital Audio Workstation

  1. In UA Connect, go to the "UAD Explore FREE" tab and click "Download All".
  2. If you have not already linked an iLok ID to your UA account, when prompted, either link an existing iLok ID or allow UA to create an iLok ID for you if you do not already have one.

Claim your UAD plug-ins 

  1. In UA Connect, go to the "UAD Plug-Ins" tab and click "GET STARTED".
  2. If you have not already linked an iLok ID to your UA account, when prompted, either link an existing iLok ID or allow UA to create an iLok ID for you if you do not already have one.
  3. Once your plug-ins appear on the "UAD Plug-Ins" tab, click the "REDEEM" button. 
  4. The button should change to say "ACTIVATE". Click the "ACTIVATE" button.
  5. Finally, the button should change to say "DOWNLOAD". Click the "DOWNLOAD" button.

Claim your third-party software titles from UA partners

  1. In UA Connect, go to the "Volt Interfaces" tab.
  2. Under the "UA PARTNER SOFTWARE" header, you should see a collection of software titles available to redeem.
  3. Click the "REDEEM" button next to a software title you want to redeem and follow the on-screen instructions.
