Please check through these steps to resolve some common Apollo and Satellite hardware registration issues and questions.
Important Note: UA Connect does not add Apollo, Satellite or UAD-2 PCIe hardware, but downloading the UAD software from the Apollo pane in UA Connect is required to complete registration, by authorizing plug-ins from the UAD-meter & Control Panel application once installed.
If you have already registered your device, you do not need to do so again.
You can sign in to your UA account on uaudio.com, and check the My UA Hardware pane to see if your hardware is registered.
If you have not yet registered your Apollo, Satellite or UAD-2 PCIe Hardware:
Please verify that you have checked the following:
- Check you are using the correct cable.
- If you are using an Apple silicon computer, make sure to follow the required installation instructions for Apple Silicon.
- If you are using a Windows computer and a Thunderbolt device, follow the required steps for compatible Thunderbolt Windows computers.
Check the UAD-Meter & Control Panel Application application for any information messages, because if the hardware cannot connect, you will not be able to complete registration.
If you do not know the serial number of the device, you can open the UAD-Meter & Control Application, and save a detailed system profile. Opening that profile will reveal the serial numbers of any connected Apollo or Satellite devices.
To register an Apollo or Satellite, you can then follow this process.
- This works for new or used devices, select accordingly and correctly.
- You may receive an error message if you have already started this process. Continue with the remaining steps to complete registration.
Read, Install and Restart
You do not need to wait for a browser window to appear after installing and restarting.
You don't need to restart the machine if the UAD software is already installed.
The final stage to complete registration is to authorize your plug-ins from the UAD meter and Control Panel application:
